TRUCK ACCIDENT KILLS THREE, INJURED FIVE IN LOKOJA

A truck fully loaded with cement has killed three people and injured five in Lokoja, the Kogi State capital.


The incident occurred on Wednesday morning, when the truck lost control and rammed into a tipper and tricycle, causing gridlock along the NATACO junction on the Lokoja, Abuja road.
Speaking with Channel Television, the sector commander of Federal Road Safety Corp Lokoja (FRSC) attributed the mishap to brake failure by the truck that carried cement heading to Abuja.
He confirmed that a female student of Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja, and two other male were crushed by the truck while five other people sustained injuries and are presently taking treatment at the specialist hospital Lokoja
